Mystery Girl is the twenty-second album by American singer Roy Orbison. It was his last album to be recorded during his lifetime, as he completed the album in November 1988, a month before his death at the age of 52, and it was released posthumously by Virgin Records on January 31, 1989.
Roy Orbison sang abut the great mystery of love where there is no solution, there is only eternal hope. His songs take us into a room and we hear the thrill and threat of the mystery in the dark where nothing is seen and everything is revealed.
Following the album's release and subsequent world tour, band members Stevie Nicks and Rick Vito left the band, though Nicks would rejoin in 1997. The cover for the album was created by photographer Dave Gorton.
