Marie Carandini, Marchioness of Sarzano (born Maria Burgess; 1 February 1826 – 13 April 1894) was an English-Australian opera singer.
Marie Carandini (née Burgess, 1826–1894), aka 'Madame Carandini', was seven years old when her family arrived in Van Diemen's Land as assisted immigrants.
Marie Carandini (1826-1894), prima donna, was baptized Maria on 1 February 1826 at St Matthew's Church of England, Brixton, London, daughter of James Burgess, coachman, and his wife Martha. The family arrived at Hobart Town as assisted immigrants in September 1833.

CARANDINI, MARIE (1826-1894), singer, daughter of W. H. Burgess, was born at Brixton, London, in 1826 and was brought by her parents to Tasmania in 1833. At the age of 17 she married Jerome Carandini, an Italian of noble birth, who was a political refugee.
It will be with regret that all classes of society will learn of the death of Madame Carandini, which took place on April 13, at the residence of her daughter, Lady Moreland, at Bath, England, at the ripe age of 69.
