10 de oct. de 2023 · The story of the woman at the well is one of the most iconic encounters in the Bible. Told in John 4:1-42, it depicts how Jesus, traveling through Samaria on the way to Galilee, sat down at a well in the town of Sychar.
Christ, travelling to Galilee, reached the Samarian city of Sychar. While the disciples went ahead into the city to buy food, Christ sat down to rest by a fountain. A woman approached the well to draw water and Christ requested water to drink.
Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at the well of Sychar. He speaks of living water that brings eternal life, speaks of the woman's history with men, and reveals himself as the Christ.
