Schönhausen House under the Nazis and in the GDR During the Nazi era, the palace was used for exhibitions and as a place to store artworks. 780 paintings and sculptures and around 3500 works on paper by proscribed artists were stored there, some of which were shown in the “Degenerate Art” exhibition.
