What is Ridley Road about? Ridley Road is about a young Jewish woman, Vivien Epstein, who decides to leave her life behind and follow her love (who mysteriously disappears) to London.
Ridley Road is a British four-part television drama series which premiered on BBC One on 3 October 2021, about Jewish opposition to British Fascism in the 1960s. It was adapted by Sarah Solemani from Jo Bloom's 2014 novel of the same name. The series is directed by Lisa Mulcahy and the executive producer is Nicola Shindler.
The ‘62 Group was a real-life Jewish anti-fascist outfit. The popular series is based on the 2014 novel by the same name by Jo Bloom. Ridley Road refers to a street in northeast London in a neighborhood that used to be heavily Jewish (and still is home to an Orthodox Jewish community today).
