The only one they can afford is St. Mary of the Veil, run by nuns whose 'preference' for Catholic families is de facto exclusivity, given the waiting list.
Because 10-year-old Lucy witnessed a stabbing at school, her parents want her to study at home. However, they cannot afford a private tutor, but the alternative school is Catholic while the family is atheist.
