Origin of Muse is a box set by English rock band Muse, released on 6 December 2019 through Muse's Helium 3 label and Warner Records. [1] It includes remastered editions of Muse's first two albums, Showbiz (1999) and Origin of Symmetry (2001), as well as B-sides, demos, and live performances from their early career.

The nine Muses on a Roman sarcophagus (second century AD)— Louvre, Paris. According to Pausanias, who wrote in the later second century AD, there were originally three Muses, worshipped on Mount Helicon in Boeotia: Aoide ('song' or 'tune'), Melete ('practice' or 'occasion'), and Mneme ('memory'). The box set includes a 48-page casebound book and slipcase, containing 9 CDs and 4 Vinyls in total, aswell as 9 removable inserts such as old gig posters and setlists, old written lyrics and old photographs from the early days. The book also includes an in-depth interview with the band conducted by Mark Beaumont.
Origin of Symmetry is the second studio album by English rock band Muse, released on 18 June 2001 through Taste Media. It was produced by John Leckie, who produced Muse's debut album, Showbiz (1999), and David Bottrill .
Muse released their debut album, Showbiz, in 1999, showcasing Bellamy's falsetto and a melancholic alternative rock style. Their second album, Origin of Symmetry (2001), incorporated wider instrumentation and romantic classical influences and earned them a reputation for energetic live performances. [1]
On 19th May 2021, it was announced that Muse will be releasing a fully remixed and remastered version of Origin of Symmetry, stylistically named Origin of Symmetry: XX Anniversary RemiXX, in celebration of the album's 20th anniversary.

This deluxe set will chronicle the band from their early beginnings in Devon, their early demos, first EPs, debut album and breakthrough record Origin of Symmetry.
