This Ernst Kirchner artwork was made in 1910 and is currently in the Brücke Museum, Berlin (Germany) The set obeys an upward diagonal from the lower left corner to the upper right. The rhythm of the composition is essentially marked by soft, predominantly green color fields, bounded by marked contours.

19 de jun. de 2020 · Marzella was painted a number of times by members of the Die Brücke art movement, and this one by Kirchner is perhaps the most memorable. This small painting was completed in 1909-1910. The style of this portrait is typical of Kirchner - from the bold, contrasting colour scheme to the dark lines which define form.
2 de feb. de 2016 · Ben presto però il termine “espressionismo” venne impiegato nell’identificare gli artisti tedeschi che ormai rifiutavano in pieno la pittura tradizionale e non solo. Si trattava di un concetto profondo e pregnante, in antitesi anche con quello della pittura impressionista che tanto aveva rivoluzionato il mondo dell’arte.
