We admit around 145 undergraduates a year, across all subjects studied at the University, with roughly equal numbers in arts and sciences.

Study here/Life at Jesus/ Accommodation at Jesus College is amongst the best in Oxford, and very popular with our students. Our accommodation is set across three city locations. On the College’s historic city centre site, we house all first-year undergraduates during term, and many first-year postgraduates throughout the year.
College members for life We have a large community of Old Members, with over 6400 alumni spread across 84 countries and six continents who keep in touch. Everyone who studies at Jesus becomes a member of the College for life, and we run an exciting and immersive range of events throughout the year for all.
History. When founded in 1496, the college consisted of buildings taken over from the Nunnery of St Mary and St Radegund, which was founded at the beginning of the 12th century; the chapel is the oldest university building in Cambridge still in use and predates the foundation of the college by 350 years, the university by half a century.
