29 de sept. de 2016 · All one's keys are typically on one keychain, so the reference is rather to the whole keychain of keys on which you can find the singular house (or car) key. Historically for cars, you needed 2 keys: one to open it and the other to start it and so the expression stuck.

27 de nov. de 2012 · Here are the keys to my car. I’m just curious about why we use ‘are’ and ‘keys’ here. Normally, a person has one car so s/he has the key of his/her car. How about “here is the key to my car.”? I found some usage like “Lost your car keys?” or “I lay my car keys down on my desk.” What do you think?

To find out whether you should use 'is' (3rd person singular) or 'are' (3rd person plural) you need to determine what the subject of the verb is. What is on the table? The keys to the car. But should the verb agree with 'keys' or 'car'?
