The Doomsday Zone (ザドゥームズデイ, Za Dūmuzudei?, lit. "The Doomsday"), also known as simply Doomsday Zone, is the eighth and final overall Zone of Sonic & Knuckles and the fourteenth and final Zone of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Under normal circumstances, this Zone is only playable as Sonic.

The Doomsday Zone es la zona final de Sonic & Knuckles y su cierre completo de la versión de Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles. Se puede jugar con Sonic (normalmente), o Tails o con Knuckles (solo en Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles mediante la selección de niveles).
En esta versión reinventada del icónico nivel del jefe final secreto de "Sonic 3" tendrás la posibilidad de guiar a Super Sonic a través de un mar de peligrosos obstáculos voladores como asteroides y peligrosos cohetes que te pondrán realmente difícil avanzar hasta tu destino sano y salvo.
After freeing the animals in the prison egg, Sonic or Knuckles runs out of the Flying Battery and plunges to the sandy ground of Sandopolis Zone. When you fall in the sand, jump to get out. The first act is pretty easy, and so is the end boss. It's a giant stone statue that jumps at you.
