Personal life. Mealing has been married to screenwriter Richard Sainsbury since 1998, they have two sons, Otis and Milo. The family originally lived on a farm in Lincolnshire, [13] but when filming of Casualty moved to Cardiff from Bristol the family relocated to South Wales.
