Taken was released in France on 27 February 2008 by EuropaCorp and was internationally released by 20th Century Fox.
Neeson plays a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operative who sets about tracking down his daughter after she is kidnapped by human traffickers while traveling in France. The film was released to negative reviews and has since become a cult film.
