Variances will not be considered without providing a safer alternative than meeting the prescriptive requirements of the elevator code.
23 de mar. de 2023 · Is there anything that would prevent me from installing a junction box in an elevator hoistway to support use of fire-detecting devices for the elevator? I've looked at NEC Article 620 and ASME A17.1 Section 2.8 and didn't see anything specifically regarding junction boxes.
