  2. History. Westfield was first conceived to help deal with the extensive overcrowding at adjacent schools, primarily Centreville and Chantilly high schools. Plans for Westfield High school originated in 1995 when it was conceived as West County High School. [8] .

  3. History. Westfield School is the successor to Eckington County Secondary School which opened in 1930 in Halfway, when it was then located in Derbyshire. It became Eckington Grammar School in the early 1940s and then became the first comprehensive school in Derbyshire in 1957.

  4. History. The first high school in Westfield was the old brick academy on Mountain Avenue opposite the Presbyterian Church, a town landmark. The minister of the church was the supervisor of it and all the schools in Westfield.

  5. History. In 1976, Spring High School 9th and 10th grade students were moved into a separate building called, "Spring High South." In 1981, Spring High South was converted into a four-year high school and was renamed, "Westfield." In 2004, the district moved Westfield 9th grade students to a separate building.

Recognized for its award-winning design and located on a 159-acre site in Chantilly, the building promotes a safe and creative learning environment for students and faculty, and encourages community involvement.
