Because back when the Soundcloud AU community was a thing and people were making a whole lot of themes for Storyshift, a lot of people used Megalo Strike Back instead of other songs to avoid the "controversy" of "Megalovania is a Sans Theme" or "Once Upon A Time is an Asriel Theme".
Chara will use three gameplay mechanics during Megalo Strike Back, regardless of the version played. SAVE - Chara will summon a SAVE star, forcing Boyfriend to repeat a part of the song while active. However, this actually isn't a mechanic per se, but it's part of the song.
