9 de oct. de 2021 · /edit: Soulseek is mainly focused on music (allthough many share also movies, games, other stuff) and lesser a whole warez world offering, this should be known before wondering after. In soulseek you share part of your harddiscdrive (usually your music directory or whatever you like to share) and so do all others too.
There is no adware or malware, and never has been. Soulseek automatically blocks certain extensions, and you can add anything you want to the block list. Be sure to download from the official site of course. There have been fake Soulseek sites before. OP sounds like a guy that downloads LiNKin-PaRK-NuMB.exe.
5 de mar. de 2022 · Yes, Soulseek is still a thing. Yes and will most likely be a thing for many years to come. Yeah I just learned about it 2 weeks ago. Helped me upgrade a handful of stuff and get a bunch of missing stuff. Donated and got VIP and am sharing 1.75 TB of FLAC currently.
10 de abr. de 2020 · There's no fix and it seems to be getting worse. I share a large music collection and while I had some success initially, it seems to be getting harder and harder to even download smaller EP's from people that I previously exchanged files with.
Soulseek subnet is owned by CIFNet (AS14585**)** CIFNet do routing exchanges with "Any2Chicago" Internet Exchange Point. When doing a looking glass on that specific IXP, it sees the Soulseek server : ===== core1.chi3.he.net> ping 208.76.170.59 numeric count 5 source 216.218.253.196
18 de jul. de 2022 · The difference with Soulseek is you're downloading from a single person, so if that person isn't online there is no way to download the file from them. With a torrent, multiple people have the same file and you download parts of it from different people.
You can check your files by right clicking on someone else's username then choosing "upload to user". This way you can see your file list. -Sometimes Soulseek blocks search results for the name of something extremely popular or new. Pretty sure they've done that with Bob Dylan and the Beatles.
24 de ene. de 2022 · Download the og soulseek. I have been using it for nearly 20 years. Still works exactly as it should. Nicotine+. But I'm biased. Anyways, make sure to add a Share folder. And have fun browsing one of the biggest libraries of music that you'll come across. Nicotine+.
