In 1983 Sindy’s branding got a makeover. Her heart logo was updated to a stylised swing tag logo with a blonde Sindy wearing a white polo shirt, blue trousers and white pumps striding purposefully in front of a pink heart. Sindy’s name was now underlined indicating confidence and self-assurance.
The 1975 Active Sindy is the same as the 1974 Active Sindy but she can now stand on tiptoe as her ankles bend and hold a pose. She has a double twist waist, a double neck joint, riveted shoulder joints, ball joints at the wrists and bending elbows and knees and bending ankles.
This particular hair is very course and does not style well. The Disco Magic fashions were issued alongside the Disco Magic Dolls. These fashions used the original 1986 standard blonde Sindy in the promo shots on the box as well as the 2 brunette and blonde dolls.
For the first time more shades of hair are available, blond, ash-blond that is sometimes almost grey, auburn, copper, chestnut and dark brunette. Sindy is marked 033029 on her shoulders and 033030 on her bottom.

Available as a blonde or brunette, this doll was probably a Beach Party with crimped hair. The 1985 Premiere Sindy had masses of side-parted curly ash-blonde hair. In 1985 a new one-piece ballet outfit replaced the two-piece leotard-and-skirt model.
On the 11th September 1978 Sindy was launched in North America. Sindy herself was a blonde active doll with the first of the new 2nd Gen head mouldings. She was also given a new black friend called Gayle. Most of her outfits were the UK outfits tweaked and repackaged to accompany Sindy in North America.
