  1. 21 de nov. de 2021 · I would definitely not get Rosetta Stone. I had it for Chinese, Japanese and Spanish (a very long time ago). And even though they updated a lot of things, it’s not worth the money. Maybe try utilizing other language apps like duo-lingo, lingodeer (if you’re learning an Asian language) or Memrise.

  2. 13 de sept. de 2022 · Rosetta Stone is wbere I started almost a year ago, and right from the jump I could tell how awful it was. No matter the category you choose for your "learning", it's all the same. Nothing changes per category from my experience. They do NOT teach you any basics, or even the script (Katakana or even Hiragana).

  3. 22 de abr. de 2024 · Rosetta Stone is like Kmart. It was really cool back in the 80's/90's, before Walmart was a thing. And nowadays it's just in a downward spiral of clinging on to the past, and being really expensive, and not really innovating much. But some people like it. I shopped at the Kmart by my house too, until it went out of business.

  4. 6 de jul. de 2022 · Assimil has been a pretty good resource too if you’re looking for a little higher level. Rosetta Stone hasn't really changed much (if at all). Pimsleur is great for introductory conversation. Rosetta Stone is good for vocab and grammar. Babble is kind of a middle ground between the two.

  5. I would also put Busuu above Babbel and Rosetta Stone. DuoLingo seems more complete and has far more material. I also like it’s method. It works well in small chunks but can go much longer if you desire. I would also add some grammar course like either Paul Noble and Language Transfer if available. Also add more speaking and listening practice.

  7. 30 de oct. de 2023 · I have the option to get an unlimited lifetime subscription to Rosetta Stone for $149, and I'm hoping to get some feedback on whether that's something worth doing. Per my flair, I'm at an A1-ish level of French, which I've gotten to mostly through Duolingo. Now that I'm able to put together basic sentences and such I've been trying to branch ...

  8. 26 de may. de 2020 · I think I have spent about 12-20 hours on Rosetta Stone during the school year, and I cannot say it has done anything besides waste my time, which could have been well spent studying or just enjoying my life. Unfortunately, my school's language department will not listen to reason about Rosetta Stone and we are pretty much stuck doing it.

  9. 31 de mar. de 2021 · Still prefer duo, but they both get u to a A1 level, maybe A2 level for writing and reading for easy languages which isnt bad but dont even expect to reach even a2 in speaking just from both these programs. 4. FluffNotes. • 3 yr. ago. Rosetta Stone is free, at least through my library system. I like it well enough. 3.

  10. Rosetta Stone is currently offering three months in any language for free. It’s for students but there’s no verification so anyone can do it. Try it out and see if you think it’s worth paying for. I don’t think it’s worth anywhere near that much personally. 13.
