GO into the resident evil 5 folder>CommonRedist>vcredist>2005> and install both C++ files (vcredist_x64 & x86) UDPATE your videocard driver to the last version TURN OFF (it's better) Windows Firewall or add RE5 Resident Evil 5 lol to Firewall exception .

Start the Resident Evil 5 Save Game Editor program. Find your save game, using the editor, located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user-id>\21690\remote" Copy your "Steam ID".

I think you should clear your cloud data of saves (even if you haven't their, maybe some bug occured in steam cloud) from steam cloud, and check your game cache in properties. Look at userdata/"your personal number"/21690. Try to delete this folder in the moment of starting a game.
