But 'spooky' literally refers to 'spooks' or 'ghosts' – i.e. spirits from the world beyond the grave. 'Creepy' is more general. If you write: Her mysterious smile made a lot of people creepy and comfortable, it will be understood that many people feel both "creepy and comfortable". It isn't possible to do as you have done and still retain the idea of "some people..." and "others..." Using "or" does not solve the problem.

If their was, let's say (for sake of arguement ), a girl stalking me, and she was someone I wanted nothing to do with and she continued to stalk me, I would have to say she was a creep. If not a creep herself, I would definetly say her behaviour (at least in regards to stalking me) was "creepy."

If a girl from my class comes with a small skirt or something like that I say "Sexy!" and that is okay, but "Gostosa" might sound too dirty, I think. *Sexy is already an official Portuguese word.

The reference seems to be to a wish to escape from this planet and find or create a better world elsewhere.
