Würzburg American High School (or WAHS) was located in Würzburg, Germany on Leighton Barracks. The school opened in 1954. The school was part of the U.S. Department of Defense Dependent School system. It was a medium-sized school - in 1964 the senior class comprised about 42 students.
Würzburg American High School officially closed in June of 2008. Many lucky Wolves attended the final graduation and closing ceremony. It's the end of an era and now it's up to us to keep the Wolf Pack spirit alive.
Würzburg American High School officially began with the 1954-1955 school year. Prior to this time, there was a Benjamin Franklin Elementary and Junior High across the street from the present building.
