  1. Bit late to the thread but I really liked it, it’s one of my favorite found footage horror films. The dementia and possession aspect was the best part and gave it a sense of grounded and semi-realistic horror. Acting was great too, just a well rounded and eerie possession movie. Reply reply. 2. The Taking of Deborah Logan. Jill Larson and Anne Ramsey are amazing in this; playing an elderly Southern Belle and her openly lesbian daughter, respectively. They make a B+ movie closer to A-. The movie starts as a study on the progression of Alzheimer's disease and specifically its impact on the caregivers of an Alzheimer's patient.

  3. 4 de feb. de 2024 · The Taking of Deborah Logan was just the opposite. After some character building, from a point about 15 minutes in until the chilling end, it's delivers nonstop on multiple fronts: at it's heart, its a possession film. watching the old woman fall further and further under control means she's doing more and more disturbing, violent and impossible things.

  4. 11 de feb. de 2023 · ADMIN MOD. The Taking of Deborah Logan has one of THE greatest moments in horror history. About two thirds of the way through the film, one of the main characters just ups and fucking leaves in his van and never ever returns again in the film, he just nopes the hell out of the weird situation. Bravo good sir, bravo.

  5. 12 de feb. de 2022 · There's a good variety of scares in this movie! Body horror, tense nighttime exploration scenes, spooky pictures, Descent style claustrophobia, creepy kids, creepy old people, cults, gun toting hillbilly neighbors. Should be something to tickle everyone's scary bone.

  6. 21 de ene. de 2016 · Yes it's worth checking out. It's a good movie until the last 20 mins or so which for me felt a little nailed on as a quick way to wrap it up. But there's not much decent horror around and this is a mostly good movie. Reply reply. Chilly73. •. I thought it was a great movie. It's definitely worth a watch.

  7. The Taking of Deborah Logan is probably my favorite movie from the Found Footage genre. In my opinion it does everything right to keep the flow of the movie fun, interesting and spooky. You have a documentary style to introduce the key players When things eventually do begin to get supernatural, doubting them is actually believable

  8. 28 de oct. de 2014 · Just watched The Taking of Deborah Logan last night and was very surprised at how good it was. Very creepy scenes and set-ups. Even though the genre is overplayed I think they had a good idea with mixing Alzheimer's with possession and the viewer having to figure out which was coming through in Deborah's actions. Pros: Jill Larson as Deborah Logan

  9. 20 de feb. de 2017 · Creep is psychological but not in the arthouse way. It's not as heavy as The Taking of Deborah Logan by any measure. The cover image netflix uses does NOT do it justice, that's for sure, but it's one of my favorite found footage films. Blair Witch 2 got really bad ratings so you should proceed with caution.

  10. Like movies using the creepy kid trope, it seemed to be just doing the same thing for old people in a rather repetitious way. The Alzheimer's angle was interesting, but it felt a little too readily discarded with them portraying her as just a rather generic old scary woman too fast.
