Bassist and composer Kristian Dunn and drummer Tim Fogarty formed El Ten Eleven in 2002 while living in the Silver Lake community of Los Angeles. [2] They released their eponymous debut album, El Ten Eleven in 2004 on Fake Record Label, and through Bar/None Records on September 20, 2005.

Fifteen years ago Kristian Dunn and Tim Fogarty released their self - titled debut album as El Ten Eleven. The self-released LP received only modest attention initially, but the project would go on to defy all expectations, gradually attracting a significant cult audience of loyal fans.
That was true for El Ten Eleven’s Kristian Dunn. When a beloved family member passed, Dunn found his own reflections on life emerging in the music he composed. Those expressions led to the creation of Tautology — a sonic meditation on the arc of human life, composed in three parts.
