Jean-Luc De Meyer (born 1957 in Brussels) is a vocalist and lyricist who is best known as the lead vocalist of the Belgian EBM group Front 242. He started singing in the experimental group "Under Viewer" with Patrick Codenys.

Front 242 ’s history starts in 1981 when Daniel B. lays out his ideas on a first single: « Body to Body ». Patrick Codenys (keyboards) and Jean-Luc De Meyer (vocals) join the band for the first album « Geography » in (1982), followed by Richard 23 (vocalist/stage performer) in 1983.

Cobalt 60 was formed in 1995 by Dominique Lallement and Jean-Luc De Meyer. Early 1996, the band was signed by Edel and recorded their first album "Elemental" in London with Craig Leon (Suicide, Blondie, The Ramones, The Triffids, The Pogues, The Primitives, and many more).
The Belgian EBM band has now postponed the North American April tour “due to a recent medical situation concerning our singer Jean-Luc De Meyer, deeming him medically unable to travel”. New dates in September and October have been announced.
