Isuzu Trooper TOD and 4WD Problems. boottmills Member Posts: 2. January 2009. I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with their Torque on Demand systems going into 4WD. The 4WD does not engage at all and the TOD display on my dash blinks at me for about 60 seconds and then the red "CHECK" light starts flashing at me.

phxbird57 Member Posts: 1. October 2015. I have a 1998 Rodeo. The problems was after driving for one hour ( highway driving). The battery & brake light would start flashing. Then if you continue diving the TAC & speedometer would stop working the battery & brake light would stay on and also abs light would come on.
It is a bundle of wires (part #8-97148-639-8-Costs $413.46, paid $330 from Seekonk Isuzu 401-434-6985) that comes of your fuse box inside the engine and spiders out throughout every sensor/electrical device under the hood. The wires that normally go bad runs in a black plastic tray on top of the engine.

So my Isuzu Rodeo is a 1998 4x4 6 cylinder 3.2L LS. The Speedometer works occasionally, but then also fluxuates when driving. Sometimes it stays on zero the whole time and sometimes it says I'm going only 20 mph on a highway that I'm obviously going atleast 60 on. I was told it might be the speed sensor, but I'm skeptical on this.
Thanks Mike. isu4wd Member Posts: 1. October 2013. When attempting to engage automatic 4wd today in wet conditions, I felt the front wheels start to pull especially on the right. A short while ago after reviewing the owner's manual about 4wd, I took the vehicle out & again attempted to actuate auto 4wd.
