Matthew Beard Jr. (January 1, 1925 – January 8, 1981) was an American actor. As a child actor, he was most famous for playing Stymie in the Our Gang short comedy films of 1930–1935.

For 22 years, from 1922 to 1944, a small, ever-changing group of children were part of this charming and very funny comedy team known first as Our Gang and then The Little Rascals. Matthew “Stymie” Beard, Jr. kicked off his film debut at age five when he became a regular in the Our Gang film series.
