14 de nov. de 2022 · During Platoon‘s climax, Willem Dafoe’s Sgt Elias is chased and fired upon by North Vietnamese Army (NVA) troops. They strike him in the back, after which Elias throws his arms toward the sky. The iconic image appeared on the movie’s poster and the box of the video tape release.

Sergeant Elias Gordon is the deuteragonist of Oliver Stone’s Oscar-winning 1986 anti-war film, “Platoon”. He is a benevolent and idealistic soldier with a pacifistic outlook on the Vietnamese people and the Vietnam War in general.
