Albert Ellis (Pittsburgh, 27 de septiembre de 1913-Manhattan, 24 de julio de 2007) fue un psicoterapeuta cognitivo estadounidense que desarrolló la terapia racional emotiva conductual (TREC) a partir de 1955. Fue fundador y presidente emérito del Albert Ellis Institute, en la ciudad de Nueva York. [1]
