Peter Granville Farndon (12 June 1952 – 14 April 1983) was an English bassist and founding member of the rock band the Pretenders.

The Pretenders are a British-American rock band formed in March 1978. The original band consisted of founder and main songwriter Chrissie Hynde (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), James Honeyman-Scott (lead guitar, backing vocals, keyboards), Pete Farndon (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Martin Chambers (drums, backing vocals, percussion).
Peter Granville Farndon, conocido como Pete Farndon (Hereford, Reino Unido, 12 de junio de 1952 – 14 de abril de 1983) fue bajista y miembro fundador del grupo de rock The Pretenders.
The Pretenders’ music is simultaneously melodic and bristling with rebellion. Fronted by singer/songwriter Chrissie Hynde, they exposed the confessional underbelly of punk and new wave.
Nacimiento de The Pretenders.
