Senior refugees face a unique set of challenges upon arrival in the United States. They often experience isolation if they are not surrounded by a community. In many countries, younger generations care for and highly respect elders.

31 de ago. de 2021 · Around 20,000 Nepali-speaking Bhutanese live in the Columbus, Ohio area, making Columbus home to the largest Bhutanese-Nepali population in the country. Many Bhutanese-Nepali refugees previously lived many years and/or decades in refugee camps before being resettled.
