30 de ago. de 2010 · Unfortunately, Bloomfield’s demon was drugs, and like so many of the superstars before him in the 1960’s — Mike was dead at 38 of an overdose on February 15, 1981 — and so this celebration of Bloomfield’s immense talent ends up wasted in a mad, and madding, dead end, for him that many predicted, but that only one failed to cure. He’d succumbed to a drug overdose. At his peak, Bloomfield was arguably the most important guitarist of his generation.

Somebody, perhaps a dealer, had dumped him there, not wanting to get involved. His body went unclaimed at the morgue for a time. This was certainly a sad finale for one of the greatest blues guitarists of all time.
