Chemist248. ADMIN MOD. Candyman (1992) is so damn good. Im 18, I’ve always heard of Candyman growing up but never watched it. I watched it last night and this movie is perfect. It’s easily in my top 5 horror movies now. Everything about it is great. The atmosphere, the concept, and Tony Todd acts like he was made for this role.

Recently I showed Candyman 1992 and Candyman 2021 to my husband. Well, we started to watch the new one and as they are describing the events of the first movie I stopped it and insisted we watch the first one. Candyman 1992. Movie Review. Finished watching Candyman (1992), everything about it is amazing, the acting, lighting, story, characters, cinematography, score... it all coalesces into an amazing package that is genuinely creepy and sad, honestly it may even surpass Halloween (1978) for my favorite horror movie. I was blown away by Candyman (1992) I just watched the original Candyman, and it instantly became one of my favorite films. The moment I heard the intro music I knew I was in for something special. Helen is such a charming character, and Tony Todd plays an impeccable villain. It’s such a tragic tale for Helen.
We have to deal with the consequences of Helen seeking out her research. When she does finally get released from jail for a crime Candyman framed her for, it’s only downhill for her from there. Candyman is ultimately not about “Candyman.”. It’s about Helen and her unforgiving journey to understand him.
Candyman (1992) is just amazing. It's poetic, raw, cultured, world opening, romantic, bloody, I could go on. Everytime I watch it I love it more. I enjoy hearing about random facts like these and things about the film on the net or documentaries. The attention to detail is quintessential. For example everything echoes in the parking garage scene
