22 de ago. de 2020 · Anyway, his books are full of slang and unconventional ways of saying things, and one thing he refers to a lot is "the blower", meaning the telephone. He's always talking about "getting <someone> on the blower" meaning to call them up. And when he answers the phone he doesn't say "Hello" he says: Start talkin'. Here's a quote from one of his books:
