Alan John " Reni " Wren (born 10 April 1964 in Manchester [1]) is an English rock drummer and member of The Stone Roses. His laid-back style of complex, off-beat rhythms was influential in bringing about the blend of indie and dance music which formed much of the Madchester sound centred on Manchester.

Alan John Wren (Manchester, 1964) better known as Reni, drummer of The Stone Roses. In the late '90s he briefly played in a new band, The Rub, and was also rumoured to have been asked to drum for the Fun Lovin' Criminals in 2007.
