The Spektors were an Australian beat, pop and rock 'n' roll band active in Perth from 1964 to mid-1966. Their co-drummer and part-time lead singer, a then-unknown Bon Scott, was later lead vocalist with hard rock band AC/DC, from 1974 until his death in 1980.
The Valentines were an Australian pop band active from 1966–1970, chiefly noted for their lead singers, Bon Scott, who later went on to success as lead vocalist with AC/DC; and Vince Lovegrove, who subsequently became a successful music journalist and manager of Divinyls.

Bon’s early music career started with The Spektors and The Valentines, two cover bands where Bon developed his drumming and lead singing. Both were fundamentally cover bands, releasing versions of songs by The Easybeats, The Foundations, and others.

9 de jul. de 2020 · Eventually The Spektors merged with rival covers act The Winstons, fronted by singer Vince Lovegrove, to form The Valentines (above). Specialising initially in pop-soul covers, both Vince and Bon would front The Vallies, as they became known.
