Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin have set the director and the cast of “R&B”, their first faith-based film collaboration for Netflix. This is the first project as part of their partnership with the streamer to produce faith-based films under a multi-year, multi-picture, first-look deal.
Tyler Perry and Tika Sumpter have teamed up on a new project: a forthcoming rom-com for Amazon MGM Studios. Co-written by and starring Sumpter, the film is currently in production and is known for the moment as “Unt. Sisters in Italy.” Perry will serve as director, working from the script by Sumpter and Kemiyondo Coutinho.
