Chansons des mers froides (French: Songs from the Cold Seas) is a 1994 album by French musician Hector Zazou. Zazou enlisted several singers for the recording, such as Siouxsie, Björk, John Cale, Suzanne Vega and Jane Siberry among others, and native singers of the Arctic.

Released earlier this year, it's a long musical voyage across the seas of the North — the Chukchi Sea, the Greenland Sea, the North Sea, The Atlantic Ocean, the Arctic Ocean, the Barents sea, the Kara Sea, Baffin Bay, the Labrador Sea, the Sea of Okhotsk, the Berings Sea, and many others.

De uitgenodigde zangeressen/groepen zijn niet de minsten, wat te denken van Björk, Värttina, Jane Sibery, Siouxsie Sioux. Eén nummer heeft Zazou zelf geschreven 'The Long Voyage' en dat is als dank aan zijn platenmaatschappij die hem totale vrijheid geeft om zijn ideeën uit te kunnen werken.
