Everyone loves a pie, but you can stretch a point too far, and this comedy play in which the entire fate of fictional football club Dunwearie FC hangs on whether local pastry-maker The Pieman will waive some of his outstanding invoices scrapes the bottom of a fair few barrels.
Some of the recording is truly dreadful: the pieman cometh sticks out as a particularly awful recording: think worst bootleg recording made on a mobile you've heard and you're coming close. I'm a fan of the Canterbury scene so it's interesting to listen to so many of the main players in one group at an early stage.

2 de ago. de 2018 · With much satire the play draws you into the difficulty the accountant, Alan Ledger, faces in trying to sort out the club’s financial mess; there’s a pleasing mix of tension and irreverence as he meets the various people associated with the club and ultimately the rather ‘zen’ Pieman.
