Outside (subtitulado como The Nathan Adler Diaries: A Hyper-cycle) es el decimonoveno álbum de estudio del músico británico David Bowie, lanzado el 25 de septiembre de 1995 por Arista Records. Este álbum significó la reunión de Bowie con Brian Eno, con quien había trabajado, entre otros, en su Trilogía de Berlín en la década de 1970.
Los primeros músicos en unirse al proyecto fueron el pianista Mike Garson y el guitarrista Reeves Gabrels. Ambos eran músicos innovadores que prosperaban en la improvisación y la libertad creativa. Gabrels se enteró del proyecto a través de un fax de Brian Eno, el primero de muchos que buscaban esbozar los parámetros y objetivos.
Reeves Gabrels (born June 4, 1956) is an American guitarist, songwriter and producer. Currently a member of The Cure since 2012, Gabrels is also known for his work with David Bowie and Tin Machine from 1987 to 1999.

The song began life as ‘Now’, a discarded Tin Machine piece co-written by Bowie and Kevin Armstrong, which itself emerged from their 1988 reimagining of ‘Look Back In Anger’ with Reeves Gabrels.

"Hallo Spaceboy" is a song by the English musician David Bowie from his 20th studio album, Outside (1995). It originated as an instrumental by Reeves Gabrels called "Moondust", which Bowie and Brian Eno stripped down and used to form the final track.
Guitarist Reeves Gabrels (pictured in 2012) was one of Bowie's primary collaborators for Earthling. David Bowie supported his 20th studio album Outside on the Outside Tour, which ran from September 1995 to February 1996.
