Other Sounds (also released as Expression!) is an album by multi-instrumentalist Yusef Lateef recorded in 1957 and released on the New Jazz label.
Despite the elements of mysticism in some of the tracks from this 1957 recording, the music is fresh and accessible. The band, including the much admired flugelhornist Wilbur Harden, was one of Lateef’s best. with Wilbur Harden, Hugh Lawson, Ernie Farrow, Oliver Jackson
Wilbur Harden (December 31, 1924 in Birmingham, Alabama – June 10, 1969 in New York City) was an American jazz trumpeter, flugelhornist, and composer. Harden is best remembered for his recordings with saxophonists Yusef Lateef and John Coltrane, and with trombonist Curtis Fuller.

Lateef's band on this date featured flügelhorn giant Wilbur Harden, pianist Hugh Lawson (who also played Turkish finger cymbals), bassist Ernie Farrow (who doubled on rebob), and drummer Oliver Jackson, who used an "earth-board" as well as his kit.
