Neill MacColl's brother Calum – a respected multi-instrumentalist from the folk music scene – guested on bass guitar for the sessions. Unsatisfied with their initial work, The Bible ditched the existing new album recordings (some of which would later surface as B-sides) and opted to start again.
His son with Peggy Seeger, Neill MacColl, is the long-standing guitarist for Mancunian musician David Gray. His grandson Jamie MacColl has also developed a musical career of his own with the band Bombay Bicycle Club .

Neill MacColl. g, *1959 GB Rock. Neill MacColl's family is a virtual who's who of the 20th Century folk music revival. His father was Ewan MacColl and his mother, Peggy Seeger (for whom Ewan wrote the song "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"), is also a noted singer, but her half-brother Pete Seeger is somewhat better known.
Neill MacColl is the son of Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger, two legendary figures in the British folk revival. He has played with many artists, composed for film and TV, and released his own album of folk songs.
