Lunar Womb is the second studio album by American heavy metal band The Obsessed. It was released in 1991 by Hellhound Records and reissued in 2006 by MeteorCity. The painting on the cover is entitled Saturn Devouring His Son by Francisco de Goya .

For 15 years, The Obsessed’s 1991 LP Lunar Womb was spoken about in hushed and reverent tones, particularly in stoner rock circles. That’s how long it took for the band’s second album to receive its first North American release in a lovingly assembled reissue/remaster from MeteorCity and 20 Buck Spin.
The Obsessed played a down-the-barrel form of biker doom, steeped in Americana and often far closer to rock than other doom bands of the 80s. But with a certain aesthetic, plenty of references to famous stoners Black Sabbath, they became absorbed into a genre that they predate by a long shot.
