Jerod Mayo is an American football coach and former linebacker who played for the New England Patriots from 2008 to 2015. He was the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2008, a two-time Pro Bowler, and the head coach of the Patriots since 2024.

Jerod Mayo is the 15th head coach in Patriots history and a former linebacker who played for the team from 2008 to 2015. He won the Super Bowl, made the Pro Bowl twice and led the league in tackles twice, and also worked as an executive at Optum before returning to the Patriots as a coach in 2019.
