Gordon "Gordo" Stevens was a test pilot and astronaut with NASA. Stevens was part of Apollo 10 and came close to landing on the Moon but had not as that wasn't part of their mission. When the Soviets landed on the Moon shortly after, Gordo and Edward Baldwin faced criticism for not doing so.

Gordon Stevens is a best selling Fiction writer of such Novels as Spider, Provo, Karas Game and Kennedys Ghost. Originally began as a Journalist in in South America and continued on Fleet Street. He moved into television as a producer/director specialising in current affairs.
