The other members of the "Black Oak" lineup were Greg Reding (guitar and keyboards), Jack Holder (guitar), Andy Tanas (bass), and Joel Williams (drums). Black Oak released two albums on the struggling Capricorn Records, Race with the Devil in 1977 and I'd Rather Be Sailing the following year.

Andy Tanas is a Memphis singer-songwriter who released his debut solo CD, Songs From The New South, in 2004. The album features his own compositions inspired by his experiences in Nashville, Memphis and the South, such as Her Own Little World, Crying Angel and Justice.
