How did this project come to life: Chris Cutler has been in contact with Amy Denio for a long period before even meeting her, since Recommended Records was distributing her first LP.

Mixed January and February 1994 at Studio Dee, Los Angeles, USA by fifth (ec) nude Bob Drake who also played violins and bass guitar on O Pastor. Rushed into print in last second mercy dash thanks to Andrew Lipinsky. All titles Denio, Cutler, Gysi.
Recorded 1993 on June 8, 9, 10 at Sound and Vision, Rolampont, France, and October 14-20 at Patchwork, Nova Zone, Switzerland. Mixed January and February 1994 at Studio Dee, Los Angeles, USA. ℗ ReR 1994.
The tone throughout is pretty light and straight-forward, especially bearing in mind the involvement of Cutler (not to mention fifth (EC) Nude Bob Drake, who mixed the album). Dissonance and challenging harmonies are certainly present on this album, but far less than one might expect.
