Tomemos una canción de Ed Sheeran como ejemplo: Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks? ¿Tus ojos todavía sonreirán desde tus mejillas? Porque hoy sonríes así, pero ¿lo seguirás haciendo cuando seamos viejitos? Es como si preguntaran: “hey, ¿esto continuará?”; por eso hablamos de continuidad.
Still es usado para hablar de una acción que todavía no ha ocurrido, no ha terminado o que aún se está llevando a cabo. Suele usarse sobre todo en situaciones que llevan en curso más tiempo de lo esperado. El adverbio still es siempre colocado antes del verbo o adjetivo, pero nunca después de estos.
