The CEDA Worker Infected was the first Uncommon Infected to be announced and appear in the Left 4 Dead 2 campaign, Dead Center in The Hotel and The Streets. In this game they also appear on the lower floors of the Hospital in No Mercy, and the industrial area of Rayford in the Sacrifice.
In both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, there are special Common Infected that are only found on specific areas or chapters in different campaigns. Unlike the Uncommon Infected, these Infected individuals only look different and do not have any special abilities.
The Survivors are people in the world who have not contracted the Infection (either by virtue of being a carrier or possessing some form of immunity). The term, however, is commonly used to refer to the eight playable characters from the Left 4 Dead game series.
The Worker is a Special Infected in Left 4 Dead, he doesn't appear in the sequel, Left 4 Dead 2.
