Janis Kelly (born 30 December 1954) is a Scottish operatic soprano and voice teacher. She is Professor and Chair of Vocal Performance at the Royal College of Music in London. [1] Early life. Kelly was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal College of Music.

Janis Kelly studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama in her native Glasgow‚ at the Royal College of Music in London and with Elisabeth Grummer in Paris. She is also a regular tutor, and directs the annual opera scenes, at Oxenfoord International Summer School run by Artistic Director Malcolm Martineau. Repertoire.

Born in Glasgow, Janis studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and at the Royal College of Music, where she was an opera scholar, a Ferrier finalist and winner of numerous awards. She studied with Lyndon Van der Pump at the RCM and continued with world-renowned soprano Elisabeth Grümmer.
